Insight Equity Announces Seven Internal Promotions

SOUTHLAKE, Texas – February 2, 2015 – Insight Equity Holdings LLC (“Insight Equity”), the Southlake, Texas headquartered private equity firm, is pleased to announce, effective February 1st, the internal promotions of seven of its team members. Jack Waterstreet has been promoted to Partner; Brad Buser has been promoted to Principal; Ben Stolbach has been promoted to Senior Vice President; and Tom Friel, Robby Myers, Mike Ogilvie, and Brett Lacher have been promoted to Senior Associate.

Jack Waterstreet joined Insight Equity in 2009 and has been a key contributor to the firm’s efforts to invest capital and improve existing portfolio company operations. Jack has key responsibility for the firm’s investments in New Star Metals, a provider of steel processing and supply chain solutions services to an array of end markets, and Berry Family of Nurseries (“BFN”), a wholesale grower of perennial and woody ornamental plants serving both big box retail stores and independent nurseries.

Since joining Insight Equity in 2009, Brad Buser has also contributed significantly to the deployment of capital in new investments as well as operational improvements within the portfolio. Brad has key responsibility for the firm’s investments in Flanders Corporation, a manufacturer of air filters and related products, as well as Saiia Construction, an American Civil Constructors (“ACC”) Company that provides industrial site maintenance and heavy civil construction.

Ben Stolbach joined Insight Equity in 2012 and has become an important leader and contributor based in the firm's New York office. Ben’s responsibilities will continue to focus on the execution of new investments as well as portfolio company operational work. Ben is significantly involved in the firm’s investments in Sparstane Technologies, the developer of a patented technology that converts power plant by-products into beneficial materials, as well as its parent company, Dustex Holdings, a manufacturer of multi-pollutant air pollution control equipment and systems.

Tom Friel, Mike Ogilvie, and Robby Myers joined the team in 2013 and Brett Lacher joined in early 2014. They have each provided excellent support to the firm’s senior investment professionals on deal execution and portfolio company operational work. Tom works closely with the portfolio’s senior management teams at EMES and A.P. Plasman, Mike provides support to the senior management teams at ACC and Midstate Berkshire, Robby provides support to the senior management teams at BFN and Flanders Corporation, while Brett works closely with the portfolio’s senior management teams at BFN and Micross.
