SOUTHLAKE, Texas and DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Florida – July 5, 2017 – Insight Equity Holdings LLC (“Insight Equity”), a leading middle-market private equity firm, is pleased to announce that Emerald Transformer, a division of Insight Equity’s portfolio company Versatile Processing Group, Inc., has acquired the Transformer Services group from Clean Harbors, Inc. The acquisition expands Emerald Transformer’s national footprint and further enhances its ability to provide industry leading service to its customers.
The Transformer Services group is a well-established business that brings significant expertise and capacity to Emerald Transformer’s equipment recycling, PCB disposal, oil processing, and field services operations. The combination of these two companies will significantly expand Emerald Transformer’s capabilities and allow it to service customers from an in-house network of facilities and resources that we believe is unmatched in the industry.
Geographically, the acquisition strengthens Emerald Transformer’s national footprint, which will now consist of 10 strategic locations from coast-to-coast. With the addition of these five facilities across the U.S., Emerald will now focus on expanding the service offerings of all locations while leveraging shared expertise and best practices in an effort to provide the highest level of service to its customers.
